Clear Ear Glasgow Limited offer full ear assessment and removal of ear wax by irrigation from the comfort of your own home.
Our Aim:
Iona is a registered nurse with 36 years nursing experience. She offers a service where she will come to you in the comfort of your own home. She has found that this is something that particularly our elderly clients appreciate. She also offers flexible times for appointments to fit around your working day.
Our Objective:
To remove wax from the individuals ears with the aim that this will improve hearing, or indeed allow for referral to audiology for hearing aid assessment. In addition, if we see a person who does not have ear wax, we signpost to the relevant healthcare professional. This may be back to their GP for treatment of infection or tinnitus, or again for hearing aid assessment.

What age ranges do you cover?
We see anyone from the age of 16 years upwards
What measure do you take to control infection by equipment?
Each service user is treated with a disposable ear irrigation tip and disposable otoscope ear piece.
The propulse machine is wiped down in between service users with cliniwipes, The metal cup for catching water and wax is cleaned with soap and water then wiped down with cliniwipes in between each service user.
The otoscope is wiped down with cliniwipes after each service user.
At the end of consulting day, the propulse machine is cleaned with the recommended propulse chlorine tablets.
Ear irrigation is not a sterile procedure.
What measure do you take to control infection by transportation?
We carry our equipment in large clear plastic boxes, with the pro-pulse machine in its own carry case.
Within the plastic carry box we have; Cliniwipes hand gel gloves masks aprons disposal bags white roll disposable otoscope tips.
